Before & After, Yes it IS better to go with a Custom Portrait Photographer!

I know it may not look like a HUGE difference to you on the computer screen, but trust me, the difference is substantial once you print those beautiful photos of yours out and hang them on your walls for years to come! When you use one of the "cookie-cutter" retail chains that just click and print, you are not getting one-of-a-kind works of art, you are getting the same 5 poses along with the same 10 backgrounds that everyone and their cousin has and there are NO custom alterations or touch-ups available(unless very very minimal). Think about it, would you rather spend your hard earned money for someone to literally click their shutter 30 times and print out whatever shows up whether it is what you really wanted or not rather than someone who will dedicate their time and talent to you for the entire process of creating your portraits with creative photographs that are then uploaded onto state-of -the-art editing software and edit out as little or as much as you want to ensure that you and your loved ones look your BEST in your photos. This also includes creative coloring techniques and overall beautifying of the look of the photograph so that when you receive the finished product you are truly HAPPY with what you spent your money on and can cherish them FOREVER.

Asher & Abbey Session

I got to photograph two adorable kids a few weeks back and had to share some of the photos with you. Abbey is a curious and adorable little girl who was running almost non-stop the whole session, we managed to get quite a few great candid shots as she ran through the garden and explored everything. Asher on the other hand is a little easier to keep in one place since he can't walk yet... hehe.. We got some great shots of him laughing it up and smiling with that great grin of his!

New Props!!!

So, I've had several people contact me about doing "Turning One Sessions". Let me just say, I am SO excited! I absolutely love that age and can't wait to take some adorable toddler photos! With the inspiration of these sessions in mind, I just HAD to go out and acquire and make a few new props!!

I bought these FABULOUS baby and toddler crochet hats and flower clips.

I bought this FANTASTIC peacock inspired feather "headdress" clip.
I made these super adorable "I'm one" t-shirts.

I bought these super cute fairy wings, long pink sparkly necklaces, and pink boa just PERFECT for any little princess!

I made these super AWESOME wooden number ONES. One for a beautiful princess and one for a charming prince!

And last but not least, I have an obsession with unique baskets. I managed to limit myself to only 2 and just HAD to buy a new boa in my all-time favorite color combo (chocolate brown and teal). It'll match my all-time favorite backdrop as well, so it's justified right? haha...

Bubbles, boys, and precious moments

These are just some of my latest favorite photos. I have many more and so much work still to do, but alas, there are not enough hours in the day most days it seems. Eventually, I will get my blog and my website all updated, but for now, it is 2:45am and I feel like I should probably try to get some shut-eye for now. Hope you enjoy the photos! Thank you for checking them out!

The beautiful Miss Katherine!

I got the chance to photograph the beautiful little Miss Katherine on Thursday evening and it was so much fun!  She is the daughter of one of my best friends, Shannon, and such a little sweetie. Here are a few of the photos from the shoot:

My Life

So here goes, my first blog entry:
Here is my littlest one Malachi, he is such a sweet and sensitive, yet ridiculously hard-headed and stubborn little boy. He doesn't do well hearing the word "no". He likes to cuddle and loves to give kisses and flirt. He is a handful to say the least. He was born on July 27, 2009. He has gorgeous green eyes.

Here is my big boy Zakiah (Zu-KY-uh)... haha... figured pronunciation suggestion may be helpful as the name is not one you see everyday. ;-) He was born on November 6th, 2006. He is true ROCKSTAR at heart. He loves all things music and aspires to be a singer, drummer, guitarist. I love to support these dreams because I am also a rockstar at heart and love a fun, rock concert and mosh pit from time to time. I can't wait until my little guy is just a little bit older and I can bring him to his first show with us. I am afraid he will be hooked after his first show and that may get expensive... lol... OH WELL! Shows are so much fun!!

And here is my grumpy, I mean, WONDERFUL (hehe..love you hunny!) husband Joseph. I love him so very much. We met April 2nd, 2008; started dating April 16, 2008; and were married by November 7, 2008. The rest is history. Our marriage and love continues to grow and get better and better with each and every year. Our 3 year anniversary is this November and I can't believe it's been this long already!! haha... He is my soul mate I truly believe and we are such a perfect team (when he's actually here that is)... lol... He is a Tech Sergeant in the Air National Guard out here in Tennessee and is kind of an important guy out there. At least I guess anyways since they send him on just about every trip there is it seems. He works out there full-time and loves what he does. He is mildly, completely obsessed with college football so in the fall I can't win for losing. He is either glued to the TV or on a trip with work. He is a hard worker and a wonderful husband and father. He works hard to give us everything we need and we love him so much for it. I couldn't ask for more.... Except for maybe football to cease existence... what? I didn't say that... lol
